We are beginning to encounter financial compensatio
Good morning -

We are beginning to encounter financial compensation requests from authors whom we have invited to speak.  In the past our policy has been not to pay as long as they are able to bring books to sell. We are a very small (one person staff) library serving a low income population, and are wary of setting a precedent.

How do other similar libraries and/or friends groups handle this?

Thank you in advance.

-Pam
