I wish to call your attention to the biography I recently published that is titled Wallace Stevens: A Dual Life as Poet and Insurance Executive. Since Stevens is regarded by many critics as the leading poet of the twentieth century and was also a vice president of The Hartford, I believe that every library should have a biography of this remarkable man. My very accessible book helps fill the vacuum in this field. To read the strong back-cover endorsement by John Serio, former editor of the Wallace Stevens Journal and editor of The Cambridge Companion to Wallace Stevens, visit my website, www.wallacestevensbiography.com. (This site also contains many interesting photos, including one of Stevens watering his flower garden in a three-piece suit.)
Libraries can purchase my biography from my website at the discounted rate of $16 for the hardcover or $10 for the paperback. Individuals who subscribe to this list may also click on the library rate to receive that discount.
I will be presenting my biography on February 1 as the speaker in the Local Authors series at the Portland Public Library.
