Hi All, I spoke with Kris Snow at DEMCO. He says Maine libraries should be using contract number C87002 on their orders until April 1st when the new contract with MHEC begins.


To make sure your tax exempt organization is not charged sales tax by any of your mail order vendors, send them a copy of your tax exempt status certificate. If you do not have a certificate, you can go to https://www.maine.gov/revenue/salesuse/exemptions/New%20Exemptions%20Documents/APP126Library102005.pdf to fill out the state form for non-profit library orgs.
