Colleagues,

     Not very many of you have signed up yet for the discussion on MaineCat
on August 2.  This conversation is intended for any library participating in
MaineCat, e.g., Minerva, URSUS, SOLAR or any of the independent libraries in
the state.  The discussion will talk about current practices and how to
improve them, the direction the catalog, requesting and sharing should be
taking in the state.  Whether you library lends or mostly borrower, you
should consider attending.

Systems and implications for Maine, Consortia/Cooperation, how MaineCat
actually works, etc.

 

10:30 - 10:45 --  BREAK

 

10:45 - 11:30 -- HOW:  instructions, tips, tricks.

 

11:30 - 12:30 --  POLICY: Loan rules, what to loan?, walk-in borrowing?
etc.

 

12:30 - 1:30 --  LUNCH

 

1:30 - 2:30 -- Defining the problems.  Break out groups by systems
(independents, Minerva, URSUS, SOLAR, etc.)

 

2:30 - 3 -- Group reports and discussions

 

3 - 4pm --  Planning for the future, changes to be made?, plans to be
implemented?
