Info: Every five years, the Maine State Library (MSL), along with every other state library in the nation, is required to conduct an independent evaluation of its implementation of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) "Grants to States" program. This evaluation is a requirement for MSL to qualify for ongoing Federal funding. QualityMetrics, LLC, a library consulting firm that specializes in evaluation and planning, is carrying out the evaluation for MSL's Five Year LSTA Plan<https://www.maine.gov/msl/libs/lsta/LSTA-5YEARPLAN-IMLS_Approved.pdf> (2018-2022) . The evaluators have been gathering information and data from a number of different sources including the data and narratives from the yearly State Program Report (SPR) that MSL submits annually to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) as well survey data, and personal interviews with MSL staff and our partners plus representatives of the library community in Maine. They have created a survey to help them assess the impact of the LSTA program on your library and on the people in Maine and to provide all of you an opportunity to help with our evaluation.
