Good day! Please excuse cross-postings:

Mt. Auburn Associates has released its final report to COSLA [Chief Officers of State Library Agencies] and IMLS [Institute of Museum and Library Services] around the role public libraries play in workforce and small business development in their respective communities. Many thanks go to my colleague Elizabeth Iaukea [Seattle Public Library; formerly Washington State Library], Larra Clark, and Timothy Cherubini for the opportunity to take a small part in this project.

Ten library systems across the country were researched, including our own Bangor Public Library, and our local workforce development agencies. There is a lot of additional information that came from this project around the creative economy and the role libraries play in that as well. Several of us who worked on this project hope to see more work emerge on this topic.

You can read and download the full report here<https://measuresthatmatter.net/research/public-libraries-role-in-workforce-and-small-business-development-a-look-across-ten-public-library-systems/>.

Respectfully,
Lisa
