A re you and libraries in your state aware of the Beaumont Foundation of
America's technology grant program in which libraries can receive Toshiba
laptops and networking hareware? Twenty one states are eligible in the
first round (applications due March 31) and the remaining states will be
eligible for a round in 2004. Libraries are eligible under the "Community
Grants" and could be awarded laptops, servers, routers and printers. There
is $350 million (yes million) available to schools, non-profits, governtment
agencies and individuals as the result of the Shaw vs. Toshiba class action
lawsuit.
