Hello All, At Tuesday's statewide update, several people mentioned the need for training on managing patrons and staff who have been experiencing emotional challenges due to the pandemic and other traumas in their lives. There is now a series of four modules in the MSL Niche Academy for continuing education on "Providing Trauma-informed Services in Small and Rural Libraries." These sessions are appropriate for individuals to use or for staff meeting discussions.
It's easy to access the free training modules. Just go to https://my.nicheacademy.com/mslstaff and search on the keyword "trauma." You'll see the four modules come up in the results. It's best to view them in order 1-4. Hope this helps. Deb
