New program: COVID Tests available for free to vulnerable Maine communities

Here's a link to the press release about the Mills Administration Pilot program that Partners With The Rockefeller Foundation To Mail 125,000 Free COVID-19 Tests to Maine People In Need.
https://www.maine.gov/governor/mills/news/mills-administration-partners-rockefeller-foundation-mail-125000-free-covid-19-tests-maine
"Residents in approximately a quarter of all Maine ZIP codes are eligible for the free tests. Eligibility is based on ZIP codes that are the most socially vulnerable in Maine, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's social vulnerability index, with additional consideration given to rural ZIP codes with low vaccination rates and limited access to testing."
There is a PDF of eligible zip codes<https://www.maine.gov/governor/mills/sites/maine.gov.governor.mills/files/inline-files/Rockefeller%20ACT%20Pilot%20Communities.pdf> as well as a map.

Please see if you library is an eligible area so you can assist any patrons who may need help ordering these tests.
As I look through this list, most of these communities have a library.
Thanks for all you are doing to help your communities.

Have a great weekend and be ready for the oncoming storm.

Janet
