Subject: [AASLNEWS:559] Teen reading survey
As part of Teen Read Week, YALSA has again partnered with SmartGirl.org
to solicit teen opinion about reading. Please consider having your
students respond to these questions about what, how and why they either
do or don't read. One strategy for increasing the responses (and
improving the validity) is to post the link in your computer area and
encourage teens to take the survey while they are on-line. The survey
is accessible from the Teen Read Week site (www.ala.org/teenread/) or
from Teen Hoopla (www.ala.org/teenhoopla) and will be available until
October 31. Results will be released later this winter on YALSA's
adolescent literacy site, www.ala.org/teenread.
