The Maine State Library would like to invite you to join our staff and
Walter's friends and family as we dedicate our new conference space (Walt
Taranko's former office)in Walter's memory October 18th at 4pm.  This date
was chosen because the Fall Council meetings for both SMLD and CMLD are
being held in Augusta that day.  The time was chosen so that those school
librarians not able to attend the Council meetings might be able to get here
as well.  A Memory Book, ribbon cutting, unveiling of a memorial plaque and
light refreshments are planned.  Please come and help us remember the many
good things Walt was part of in your library life.
