Please check the list of Utilities and Energy Committee members below. These
are the people who will be hearing testimony on L.D. 29 this Wed. afternoon.
If you know any of them, please call them and explain the impact that losing
MSLN would have on your library service to your patrons.

Elizabeth Moran will be presenting testimony on behalf of the library world.
She would love quotes to share about the devastating impact losing MTEAF and
MSLN would have on your library. These quotes will be particularly helpful
if they come from libraries/schools in towns that Utilities Committee
members represent. Thanks for your help. It is sorely needed right now.

You may also want to contact Utilities and Energy Commission Chairs Senator
Christopher Hall (D-Lincoln) and Rep. Bliss of South Portland. Other
committee members are Senator Lynn Bromley (D-Cumberland), Senator
Youngblood of Penobscot, Rep. Goodwin of Pemborke, Rep Rines, of Wiscasset,
Rep Lundeen of Mars Hill, Rep. Donald Berry of Belmost, Rep Cresey of
Baldwin, Rep. Fletcher of Winslow, Rep. Moody of Manchester, and Rep.
Richardson of Skowhegan. (and Rep. Adams of Portland who has already
informally expressed opposition to this bill. If you know member of the
education committee, it wouldn't hurt to tell them how alarming this bill
is. Thanks so much!

Jeff: Do you (or someone) have the email address of the sponsor of the bill?
I think we could provide Representative GAGNE-FRIEL of Buckfield with some
additional information to consider. - Larry
