Hi All, Today is the start of MHEC library membership sign-up to prepare for transitioning to discount buying with MHEC contracts on July 1. Please submit one application for the library at the "Membership Application" link at https://www.mhec.net/mhec-scoop/ . Each staff person can then create his/her own user login through a link on that same webpage.

Once the application and logins have been accepted by MHEC, your staff will be able to look through the various contracts, searching for categories of items, brands, suppliers and their discounts.

Any staff who need training on searching and ordering through the MHEC contracts may access the introductory webinar and FAQs at the MSL SCOOP page at http://maine.gov/msl/mrls/services/scoop.htm .

As you begin to find and use new suppliers, if you discover a great deal that other libraries might want to know about, please let me know so I can post a few "good finds" on MELIBS. I also want to know about any tough challenges you may have or any specific suppliers you'd like to see added to the contracts.

Have fun shopping and stretching those budget dollars beginning July 1st! SCOOP vendors may require you to continue to purchase via the SCOOP contract until that date. Deb
