Central Maine Technical College Library has a short term (approximately 10
weeks), part time (20 hours a week maximum) position funded by a grant from
the Maine Info Net project. The person filling the position will be
responsible for retrospectively cataloging a small collection for input into
the statewide catalog database MINERVA. Application deadline is August 2,
2002.
Persons applying should:
* Have knowledge of basic cataloging concepts, AACRII rules and LC
classification scheme.
* Have or be working on an MLS or MLIS degree from ALA-accredited
program.
* Have familiarity with Innovative Interfaces, Inc. (Millennium) online
cataloging program. Knowledge of either Maine Info Net, Ursus or Minerva a
plus.
* Have familiarity with OCLC's passport software for cataloging.
* Have the ability to work independently.
* Have the ability to work & interact well with diverse group of
students, faculty & staff.
