The Maine Telecommunications Education Access Fund (commonly known as State
E-Rate) contains the following section:
C. Innovative and Technologically Advanced Projects. The Commission will
establish a process for accepting proposals from qualified schools and
qualified libraries for innovative and technologically advanced projects and
ensure that at least 25% of each annual program budget is allocated to such
projects.
The accompanying attachment is a pre-proposal application for an Innovative
and Technologically Advanced Project. Pre-proposals will be reviewed and
those rated most highly will be asked to submit a grant application later
this fall/winter.
The application will be posted at http://www.state.me.us/msl/ and on the PUC
homepage at http://www.state.me.us/mpuc.sandlbrd.htm later today or early on
Monday.
Hard copies were mailed today to each public library director in Maine.
I will be out of the office from Monday Sept, 24 to Wed. Oct. 3. If you
have questions in the meantime please write to Gary Nichols at
