Hello All, I'm excited to announce a new round of Maine Public Library Fund (MPLF) grants, including a limited number of $250 awards for lesser-funded libraries to upgrade their WIFI infrastructure to capture usage stats.

See more about our WIFI grant initiative at https://www1.maine.gov/msl/libs/tech/index.shtml where you will also find the link to submit an application for one of the $250 WIFI grants.

MSL is once again offering program grants from $1000- $5000. Details on what types of projects are eligible for these grants may be found at https://www1.maine.gov/msl/libs/admin/funding/MPLF.shtml along with the link to submit a program grant application. While you are there, check out all the great projects these grants have funded in the past two years.

One other change; continuing education grants may no longer be requested through the MPLF application process. Instead, library workers needing financial assistance for professional development purposes like conferences and workshops should use this MSL form https://www.maine.gov/msl/libs/ce/stipends.htm .

All MPLF grant applications must be submitted via the online forms by 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018.

Please direct questions about MPLF grant applications to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> .

Thanks to all of you promoting the Maine Income Tax Check-off campaign (which funds the MPLF awards), we will be able to provide over $20,000 for public library program and WIFI grants this Fall. Please continue to publicize the benefits of this initiative to strengthen library services for Maine citizens. Deb
