Hello All, The Maine State Library will offer 10 librarians in the state the opportunity to take the online course, Public Programming in the Pandemic, offered by Library Journal. Virtual programming is expected to still be high in demand in our post-pandemic world. This is a great opportunity to learn more!
The course starts next week so applications are due by 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021. If your application is approved, your course registration would be fully funded by MSL.
Over three weeks starting March 23, you'll learn best practices for running a digital event, tackling essential services like workforce training, and offering asynchronous programs like take-home adventure kits and digital escape rooms.
In the live video webcasts, find out how leading libraries have pivoted to meet their communities' changing needs. The speaker program runs on Tuesdays, March 23, March 30, and April 6, 2:00-4:00PM ET (on-demand recordings available).
You'll come up with three replicable program ideas for your library and a plan to implement them with personalized feedback from an expert librarian in the online workshop.
If you would like to participate in the course, complete the application at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GMNL5W9 by Thursday at 5 PM.
You may contact me with any questions. Deb
