Hello All, Now that most libraries have gotten their ARPA Grants in process, I'd like to remind you that the Maine State Library's Fall cycle of MPLF (Maine Public Library Fund) Grants is about to begin. On October 1, I'll send out the link for the grant application form and accept applications until October 29, 5 PM. We will now use the same grant system that we have been using for the ARPA Grants, which should make the process much smoother for all of you who already have set up accounts there.
This cycle, all innovative programming proposals will be considered, with preference given to projects and programs around DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) https://www.ala.org/advocacy/diversity/edi-our-libraries such as outreach programs to minorities, hosting community discussions on racism, or adding more diversity into YS programming. Think about how your library can be more active in your community to foster understanding and inclusion of ALL residents. Stay tuned and contact me with any questions. Deb
