Kate Cutko and her team at Bowdoinham Public Library are also the very deserving recipients of an ARSL grant!!

Kate writes: "Bowdoinham received a $5000 ARSL grant to aid our library with moving and storage fees for an upcoming relocation. Our library is being forced to relocate for one full year while our municipal building receives an upgrade. This grant will help with the unanticipated costs of that move.

I so appreciate how simple the ARSL grant application process was!"

Congratulations to Kate and the people of Bowdoinham!

Again: If your library was notified that you are a recipient of this grant - or any other grants or special funding - please do let us know! We want to celebrate your successes with you and help spread the word of what great work our libraries do in their respective communities.

From ARSL: "The Association for Rural & Small Libraries<https://www.arsl.org/> (ARSL) builds strong communities through professional development and elevating the impact of rural and small libraries. ARSL recognizes the uniqueness of small and rural libraries and is committed to providing an environment that encourages excellence within this community of practice, supporting their goals of service and speaking on behalf of this important constituency. Since 1 in 3 public libraries in the U.S. serve a population of fewer than 2,500 people, there is a great opportunity to support this set of library professionals that are often overlooked. We believe in the value of rural and small libraries and strive to create resources and services that address national, state, and local priorities for libraries situated in rural communities."
