Hello All,
The Maine State Library is pleased to announce the recipients of the Fall 2018 Maine Public Library Fund (MPLF) Program Grants. See the list of funded projects below. Congratulations to all the grant recipients!
This round funded program grants totaling $15,000 in addition to a number of WIFI infrastructure grants.
Please continue to promote the State Income Tax Check-off so we can provide more awards for innovative programming at Maine public libraries.
The Maine Public Library Fund Income Tax Check-off allows Maine taxpayers to make voluntary contributions to support Maine public libraries on Maine Income Tax form Schedule C-P.
"The generosity of Maine taxpayers through the tax check-off has helped Maine public libraries develop
transformative programming and services that responds to the needs of their communities," said Maine
State Librarian James Ritter. "Many Maine libraries operate with very limited budgets and the grants
from the Maine Public Library Fund have made many new things possible for these institutions and the
people they serve."
Since Fall 2016, the MPLF has funded 73 projects and programs for over $105,000 and has supported significant growth in the Maine InfoNet library of downloadable e-books and audiobooks.
