Do your database users know they can change the appearance of their result
list in EBSCOhost?

The Preferences option in the upper right-hand corner of every search and
result page allows EBSCOhost users to tailor the result list display to meet
their individual needs as they conduct research.

For example, if they are looking for something specific and need only a
little information to recognize it, users could choose the Title or Brief
format combined with a greater number of results displayed per page.  This
would allow them to scan a large number of records quickly.  On the other
hand, if users are beginning a project or exploring new ideas, the
additional descriptive information provided in the Detailed format might
help them find the information they need.

To modify the result display, click on Preferences in the upper right hand
corner of any EBSCOhost search screen or results page.  From the Preferences
page you can:

1. Change the number of results displayed per page to increments of 5, 10,
20, 30, 40 or 50

2. Change the format for each result to:
- Title only
- Brief (includes citation information)
- Detailed (includes an abstract, if available, with the citation
information)

After choosing, click Apply.  EBSCOhost will then return to the search
screen or result list, having made the specified changes.
