This is being forwarded at the request of Liz Weaver from the Maine
Alzheimer's' Association.
It describes a wonderful opportunity!

Dear Librarian:
Are you aware of people living in your service area who are concerned about
serious memory loss (Alzheimer's disease or some other form of dementia)
either in themselves or a loved one?
Are you interested in participating in this grant project by receiving a
free set of books and other materials for your library?
Are you interested in serving on a short-term (2 to 3 meetings) advisory
group to help us to a) review proposed core materials, b) determine the
sites in each county to receive the materials, and c) develop a plan for
effective distribution and promotion?
Please send your replies to the above questions directly to me at the
address below by September 23. If you would like more information about the
project or our organization, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you in advance for your interest. We are really looking forward to
partnering with libraries throughout the state to improve access to
information for Alzheimer's families.
Sincerely,
Liz Weaver
