Proposal Writing Workshops and Innovation Forums for Upward Bound and
McNair*

*COE Helps Institutions to Develop Proposals in a Strategic and
Comprehensive Manner*

To help you prepare an effective and successful proposal for TRIO Upward
Bound, Upward Bound/Math Science, Veterans Upward Bound, and the Ronald E.
McNair Post-Baccalaureate Program, the Council for Opportunity in Education
(COE) is sponsoring *free proposal writing workshops*.

These workshops, a *direct benefit of Institutional Membership

of COE*, include an overview of the proposal development, editing, and
review process; an examination of proposal resources available on the
Internet; and an analysis of common mistakes made by unsuccessful
applicants as well as characteristics of high-ranking proposals. A team of
experienced TRIO directors will review and critique up to three sections of
your 2016-2017 proposal. Take advantage of this time to receive
recommendations, suggestions, and honest feedback.
