*Communities of Practice Webinar Series — Why Build a Logic Model?*

*Wednesday, April 20, 2016*
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (ET)
------------------------------

*Free* for Everyone

A logic model is a visual framework of theories and
assumptions underlying your program. In a climate where programs are being
asked to justify resources and demonstrate effectiveness, logic models
create a shared understanding of how activities relate to your program’s
goals and the goals of your institution. Not only do logic models
systematize your planning, management, and evaluation processes, they also
help you advocate for additional resources to expand your services, because
they illustrate what works in your program and why. We will cover the
fundamentals of developing a logic model for your program and why a logic
model is an effective tool for planning, implementation, and documentation
of outcomes. You have all the tools you need in your proposal — join us to
learn how to build a logic model for your program!

*How to be Strategic in Intensifying Services for your TRIO Programs*

*College Programs (McNair and SSS)*

*$250* for Members

*$450* for Non-Members

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) announced at a COE seminar last month
that non-competing grants for 2016-2017 will have the opportunity to
receive a 3% increase if *1*) the program intensifies a service to students
in your program, or *2*) the program agrees to serve additional students.
ED will send a form for programs to complete which will include a drop down
menu that provides you options from which you can choose which service you
will intensify. COE wants to help you consider what service would be the
best to intensify based on various factors such as location, the population
your program serves, and available resources. Take advantage of this
opportunity where directors share plans they have for “intensifying
services” and have your questions answered regarding meaningful and
appropriate ways to do so.
