Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know that both the half- and full-day sessions of the "If Not Me, Then Who?" conference at KVCC will officially run on August 14th! You can find registration information at the following link: https://www.combarriers.com/index.php/institute_schedule. Thanks to everyone who has registered / expressed interest in attending so far!

On August 14th, KVCC will be partnering with KVCAP to host Dr. Donna Beegle's new "If Not Me, Then Who?" conference<https://www.combarriers.com/institute_schedule> in the King Hall Lower Campus Center. The conference is designed to provide attendees with practical skills to better understand and assist the individuals they work with to move and stay out of poverty. As someone who overcame the odds and made it out of generational poverty, Dr. Beegle is a compelling speaker who blends personal storytelling with practical advice. This training is geared toward service-providers looking for ways to more effectively assist people with low-income to move out of poverty for good, but will be appropriate for anyone working to create meaningful change in their communities and an inspiring reminder of why college access is so crucial as we kick off the fall semester!

The following description is from the conference website:

"Do you struggle to connect and understand some of the families and individuals you serve? Would you like to increase your poverty competency skills-improving communication and relationship-building skills? Would you like to develop best practices and tools for breaking poverty barriers, improving outcomes, and changing lives in your community? Then this is the conference for you!

These highly interactive training sessions-a 4-hour skill-building workshop and 2 hour train-the-trainer session-are designed to improve skill sets for home visitors and those who work directly with people who live in the crisis of poverty. Organization leaders will also benefit as they gain tools for systemic change that is responsive to assisting people to move out and stay out of poverty."

*        4-hour Training Workshop (Price: $59.99)
* Full Day [4-hour training plus a 2-hour train-the-trainer session and the following materials: If Not Me, Then Who? Participant Guide, Facilitator's Guide, and DVD] (Price: $159.99)
