HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CHRIS DRURY, JR C, BOSTON UNIVERSITY
Drury (Trumbull, CT) earned his second Player of the Week honor this season
as he scored two goals and added four assists in a weekend sweep of
Providence.  Drury scored the first goal in Friday night's 4-1 win and
tallied a goal and four assists for a career-best five point effort in
Saturday's 8-6 victory.  He is tied as leading scorer in Hockey East with
six goals and four assists for 10 points in four league games, 6-6-12 in
six games overall.
HONORABLE MENTION: Chris Masters (F, Boston College): goal and an assist in
6-1 win over Notre Dame; Steve Kariya (F, Maine): two goals and two assists
in weekend series against Northeastern; Rich Moriarty (G, Mass Amherst): 40
saves in 1-0 loss to UNH; Neil Donovan (F, Mass Lowell): two goals and
three assists in 6-3 win over Merrimack; Eric Thibeault (G, Merrimack): 35
saves in 6-2 win over Mass Lowell; Jason Krog (F, New Hampshire): goal and
two assists in sweep of Mass Amherst; Brad Mahoney (F, Northeastern):
game-winning goal against Maine.
(Note: Thibeault was an honorable mention last week but was left off list.)
 
HOCKEY EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MARC ROBITAILLE, G, NORTHEASTERN
The rookie dufflebag from Gloucester, ONT, frustrated Maine shooters twice
in a 1-0-1 weekend by stopping 80 of 85 shots.  He picked up his first
Hockey East win on Saturday, recording 38 saves.  In Friday's 2-2 tie,
Robitaille turned aside 42 shots.
HONORABLE MENTION: Jeff Farkas (F, Boston College): goal and an assist in
6-1 win over Notre Dame; Dan LaCouture (F, Boston University): two goals
and an assist in sweep of Providence; Greg Koehler (F, Mass Lowell): goal
and an assist in split against Merrimack; Jayson Philbin (F, Merrimack):
two goals in split with Mass Lowell including game winning goal Saturday.
