FIRST ANNUAL SHAWN WALSH GOLF CLASSIC SLATED FOR SEPT. 2


ORONO, MAINE- The First Annual Shawn Walsh Golf Classic will take place
Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Martindale Country Club in Auburn, Maine. Proceeds
from this tournament, named in the memory of the former Black Bear ice
hockey coach, benefit the Maine Hockey program.

Registration begins at 8:30 AM followed by a 10 AM shotgun start. A
foursome registration includes use of the driving range prior to tee
off, golf cart and post-tournament banquet.

Foursomes may enter through different sponsorship levels. A National
Championship sponsor ($2500) includes a golf foursome and tournament
recognition on all holes as a tournament master sponsor. A Hobey Baker
sponsor includes a golf foursome, post tournament banquet for four and
hole sponsorship for $750. The power play sponsorship is $500 and
includes the round of golf and the post tournament banquet for four.
