Cronin resigns from Maine to join USA Hockey
 
        ORONO, Maine - University of Maine interim coach Greg
Cronin has resigned his position effective immediately to
accept a position as assistant coach of the Elite Development
Program of USA Hockey. Maine assistant coach Grant Standbrook
will serve as head coach when the Black Bears host the JCPenney
Classic at Alfond Arena on Dec. 20-21.  Shawn Walsh, who is serving a
university-imposed, one-year suspension returns as head coach on Dec. 24.
