                                         Defensive Player Of the Week
                                         Greg Gardner, Niagara
                                         In an incredible upset, junior
                                         goaltender Greg Gardner made 33
                                         saves on 34 stops as Niagara
                                         defeated Michigan in Ann Arbor
on
                                         Saturday night, 2-1. Even
though
                                         Niagara lost an overtime
                                         heartbreaker Friday night, 6-5,
                                         Gardner had a save percentage
of
                                         .918 for the weekend against
the
                                         Wolverines in their own
building.
                                         The win over the defending
national
                                         champions comes in the first
                                         weekend of the first year of
Niagara
                                         being eligible for the Division
I
                                         tournament.
