In fact, Coach Cronin (and the players, so far as I know) regards the
Michigan-LSSU schedule as a good test for the team--a learning experience, if
you will. Ditto for UMaine's appearance in the Hall of Fame Classic last year
vs. Michigan; and for our season-opening game in Los Angeles against BU the
year before. (Forgive me if my memory fails me--I haven't double checked the
schedule.)
 
Maine's philosophy under Walsh and Cronin has been the better the quality of
our opponents during the season, the better we're likely to be at the end of
the season, when it counts the most.
