Hockey East Karhu Player of the Week
Martin Laroche, Merrimack: SR F (Cornwall, ONT): tallied 10 points on
the weekend (3-7-10) to lead the Warriors in a three game sweep for the
weekend.  Laroche notched five points on Saturday against Union (1-4-5).
 
Hockey East Rookie of the Week
Matthias Trattnig, Maine: FR F (Graz, Austria): down 2-0 vs
UMass-Lowell, Trattnig ignited the Black Bears by scoring Maine's first
two goals, both on the power play, to tie the game.
 
Hockey East Honor Roll
Jamie O'Leary, Boston College: SR F (Needham, MA) scored three goals and
one assist in two league games this weekend, including two within 1:44
of the third period to lift the Eagles over UMass-Amherst...Mike Sylvia,
Boston University: SR F (Newton, MA) scored both the tying and winning
goals in BU's 5-2 win against UMass-Amherst...Roger Holeczy,
Northeastern: SO F (Lake Forest, IL) had two goals on the road this
weekend, one each versus Colgate and Cornell...Jason Krog JR F (Fernie,
BC), Mark Mowers SR F (Whitesboro, NY) & Tom Nolan SR F (Springfield,
MA), New Hampshire, registered five goals and four assists as a line to
lead the Wildcats to a 5-4 victory over RPI on Friday night...Kris
Porter, Merrimack: JR F (Wynyard, SASK) scored four goals against Air
Force on Sunday night, finishing with six goals on the weekend...Shawn
Wansborough, Maine: SR F (Deseronto, ONT) returned after missing three
games due to injury to score seven points in two games (3-4-7)...Steve
Kariya, Maine: JR F (N. Vancouver, BC) scored 3-3-6 in two conference
matches to retain the scoring lead...Chris Bell, UMass Lowell: SO F Bell
(Chase, BC) scored two goals against Union on Sunday.
