Based on the weekly Hockey East release, slightly rewritten.
 
HOCKEY EAST PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
MARTY REASONER, SO F, BOSTON COLLEGE
Reasoner (Honeoye Falls, NY) scored four goals and added an assist as the
Eagles split a weekend series with Maine.  The sophomore scored two goals
each night for Boston College, recording the sixth and seventh two-goal
outings of his 49-game career.  Reasoner is tied for fifth in overall
Hockey East scoring with 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points in 15 games.
MARTIN FILLION, JR G, MASS LOWELL
Fillion (Winnipeg, MAN) stopped 73 of 77 shots in a weekend sweep of
Northeastern.  He recorded a career high 45 saves in a 5-3 win Thursday and
28 saves in a 2-1 win on Saturday.  Fillion notched a .948 save percentage
over the two games and ranks third in overall goaltending in Hockey East
with a goal against average of 2.97.  His save percentage of .914 leads the
league.
HONORABLE MENTION: Rob Bonneau (F, Mass Amherst): two goals and two assists
in weekend sweep of Providence; Eric Nickulas (F, New Hampshire): three
goals and two assists in weekend sweep of Merrimack.
 
HOCKEY EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MIKE SOUZA, F, NEW HAMPSHIRE
Souza (Wakefield, MA) scored the first goal in both of the Wildcats' wins
over Merrimack last weekend.  His goal on Friday night proved to be the
game winning tally in a 9-0 win.  Souza leads UNH in first goals with four
on the season, and he completed the weekend scoring by adding two assists.
HONORABLE MENTION: Mike Mottau (D, Boston College): three assists in
weekend split with Maine.
