With the retirement of Olympia Snowe from the US Senate, a name that has 
circulated in GOP circles is Steve Abbott.  Should he decide to throw his hat 
in the ring, Maine will need to find a new AD.  It would be near impossible 
for a new AD to make any changes to the coaching staff at Maine.

I'm not convinced Abbott is inclined to make a change anyway, but it may not 
be his call to make.
