Hi Theresa, THanks for including me in plant mailings. Still smiling about
JBS. One of nicest things was getting to know Rebecca a bit.
Had a wonderful visit with Nev today. After some good wine, fed him
lobster salad on a bed of special lettuce (given to me by head of Fedco on
Sat after his excellent talk to Matster Gardeners.) and also served with
our second cuke of 2004 and blueberry (from our little patch) muffins For
dessert chocolate sheet cake and grapes and coffee.
Did you see Ben's article on Tumbledown in yesterday's KJ? It included
a photo of what Tom had told him was Mtn. Laurel. A discerning reader
e-mailed him that it is Sheep Laurel and I think the that reader is corrrect
upon careful looking at the photo!!!! Do you agree???
I plan to go to Portland on Fri to spend the afternoon at
Susannah's....she is eager for me to see her gardens, etc. I'll be back
about 8:30 p.m. Let me know if I can be of help on Sat. Thinking of you
with aunts coming... Love, Mary
