The time is approaching for the JBS Spring meeting: Saturday, April 12 in
Lewiston.  Registration opens at 8:30am; the program begins at 9am.  The
exact location is the usual: Chase Lounge in Chase Hall on the Bates College
Campus. Chase Hall is on Campus Avenue.   Directions to Bates can be found
on the web at:
http://www.bates.edu/directions.xml

The meeting pre-registration cost is $12 which includes lunch at the college
dining hall.  Registration cost at the door on April 12 is $15.  To
pre-register, please make out a check for $12 payable to JBS and send it to:
Rick Speer, 566 N. Auburn Road, Auburn, ME 04210 by Friday, April 4.  [This
meeting is open to JBS members and non-members alike--same price for both
categories.]

I'll paste in the meeting program information below.  Please do not print
this out--program agendas with all details will be available for all at the
meeting.  However, since we do not do a paper mailing for this meeting (it
was announced in the January JBS newsletter), PLEASE FORWARD THIS
INFORMATION ON to other members and other interested people.

9:00 AM – Arthur Haines – Welcome and announcements



9:15 AM – Maine lichens (Jim Hinds)



9:55 AM – Maine fungi (Seanna Annis and members of MMA)



10:35 – BREAK



11:05 – Maine bryophytes: mosses (Pat Ledlie), hornworts, and liverworts
(Alison Dibble)



11:45 – LUNCH



1:00 PM – Flora of Mount Desert Island (Sal Rooney and Jill Weber)



1:40 PM – Maine vascular plants (Arthur Haines)



2:20 PM – Wrap up and discussion



3:00 – Adjournment
