Dear Pat:

I have seen the Great Solomon Seal in several places and always it seemed to
be where it was planted. One place I remember was along a camp road in the
Bangor area near Pushaw Lake and another was last year in a city forest in
Portland near the edge of the forest area and where at one time a home might
have existed as there were other things like lily of the valley, etc. But,
it is always nice to see different things.

See you at JBS. Barbara

Great Solomon Seal, Polygonatum canaliculatum doesn't appear in
Flora of Maine... I am assuming that means it's not native to Maine or
it's name has changed?
I have found some growing near an old cemetery, so I am guessing
it may have been brought there and planted years ago?

Please comment?
