Well, you're right of course, Doug.  University budget cuts have, as I
understand it, cut a couple of scholarships and a grad assistant
coach.  Walsh had threatened to leave if his program got any cuts, but
he has avoided repeating that during this escapade.
 
Walsh makes about $55K at Maine and was reportedly offered over $100K
at Denver.  As always, there must be lots that isn't getting to the
press!
