WZON (620AM, Bangor, ME) today announced their new "voice of Maine
hockey" as WVII TV (Ch 7, Bangor) Sports Director Dan Hannigan.

Dan has been covering Maine hockey for WVII TV since February 1993. He
and WZON will broadcast all Maine games this season (The Michigan Hall
of Fame Game will be done with a "local" (to the Palace) announcer with
Dan in the control room for pre-game, intermission and post-game
reports).

Dan Hannigan replaces long-time popular announcer Joe Carr. Joe retires
to spend more time with his family. "Thanks!" and best of luck to you,
Joe ... Maine Hockey was in good hands with you at the mike. (Joe was
always an expert on college hockey, but I'd like to think his HOCKEY-L
participation over the past few years has helped a bit :-))

WVII has some network connectivity ... guess it's time to get Dan
Hannigan introduced to the internet, email and the college hockey
mailing lists. :-)

cheers,
