I can supply the names of the university teams in the OWIAA (Ontario Women's
Interuniversity Athletic Association) league. The 6 universities in the
league this season are:
University of Toronto
Queen's University
York University
Guelph University
Laurier University
Windsor University
I play for the University of Toronto. The majority of our games are
against other universities in our league, but we do have a few (3)
tournaments where we will play against some American university teams.
There are also women's university teams in some of the other Canadian
provinces. Each province has a separate league, as far as I know.
Like university hockey in the United States, there is no national
title, YET! ;-) Does anyone have a list of the university teams in
each of the other provinces? I know there are quite a few teams in
Quebec, and I know the University of Manitoba and the University of
New Brunswick have teams, but I'm not sure about the other provinces.
