 I disagree.
 If two teams in the playoffs are evenly matched a "lucky bounce" can win the
 game. A situation that comes to mind is the NC$$ Semi-final in 1987 in Detroit,
  where Minnesota played Michigan State.  Late in the third period a pass
 off-the-boards behind the Minnesota net resulted in a goal, due to a crack in
 the seam of the boards where the Zamboni goes in-and-out. Instead of going from
 left to right the puck went in from the left and popped back out to the left,
 just to the left of the crease. The goalie was looking for the puck on the
 right side (his left) and did not see the MSU player who picked up the puck
 and put it in the net. I am sure Paul Broten and John Blue still see this in
 their dreams. It was a nightmarish end to a great game.
