Greg, you are right in that the college_hockey mailing list, now
in its LISTSERV incarnation, has been free of cheapshots during its
relatively short lifetime (the ten-month anniversary being tomorrow,
June 8th). However, there has been a certain amount of, shall I say,
not-so-subtle joking about some of the major characters in college
hockey like Anzalone, Maine's Shawn Walsh, BU's Jack Parker, and
even North Dakota's Gino "The General" Gasparini - a popular guy
himself at BU's Walter Brown Arena back in March.

Besides the fact that I believe there are no Soo Laker fans on the
    list to take umbrage at Keith's remarks (correct me if I'm wrong;
I hope I am), I don't believe Keith intended any ill will towards
Anzalone or the Soo Tie Company. Note the "smileys" towards the
end of Keith's message. Being at Bowling Green, Keith has an
opportunity to see quite a few CCHA games. I couldn't help but laugh at his
message, having seen Anzalone a few times in action myself. You just
can't take these guys that seriously. I don't even think they take
    themselves too seriously.

So, Greg, while I appreciate your attempt to keep down any cheap-shot-
taking on the list, I think you'll find there won't be much policing needed
here. That's one of the things that has been a strong point of the list
since its inception and every member deserves a pat on the back for it.
