Bill - Cornell has tried the 25-minute half setup in connection with its
annual junior varsity tournament. It works fine in that context, when
you're trying to start at noon, play two games, and get done in time to
get the rink ready for a varsity game at 7:30. It doesn't make a lot
of sense otherwise. What ever happened to 'if it ain't broke, don't fix
it'?
