According to Charley Walters in today's St. Paul Pioneer Press, "Minnesota
Wild general manager Doug Risebrough was in Grand Forks, N.D., on Monday
to meet with Dean Blais...". The story goes on to say "[the] meeting was
described as more of a get-acquainted meeting than an interview, sources
said, but it is clear Risebrough was there to consider Blais as the team's
first head coach, not as an assistant, nor as coach of the Wild's
Cleveland Lumberjacks affiliate". Walters also adds, "[people] close to
Blais say he would accept the Wild job immediately if offered".
