Dear Geospatial Advocate,

Great news! All the imagery scheduled to be flown this year, including the rollovers from 2021, has been acquired under ideal conditions and has passed its initial review. This year's acquisition included aerial imagery for over 16,000 square miles ranging in location from the Town of York to the Town of Frenchville!

The anticipated schedule for the orthoimagery project looks like this:

- Ground control and processing: June - July
- Orthophoto generation: June - August
- Mosaicking and quality control (QC): July - November
- Delivery to purchasers: by December 31, 2022
- Availability on the Maine GeoLibrary Data Catalog: by January 31, 2023

Would you like more information? Please look at the StoryMap located here: https://www.maine.gov/geolib/programs/ortho/index.html

Thank you to all who provided local ground and leaf-budding conditions status updates. This information was crucial in determining when and where to fly, and was influential for our consultant completing their acquisitions under ideal conditions.

If you have any questions or comments about the orthoimagery program, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Claire Kiedrowski
