Good Morning All,
Claire and Emily have been working on a new Land cover application
<https://www1.maine.gov/geolib/programs/landcover/index.html> detailing the
work done to get high resolution land cover data for the state. They have
done an awesome job showing the multiple partnerships enlisted to bring
this project to the initiation stage.
Once completed by NOAA and the University of Maine Intelligent GeoSolutions
group the data will be used by a variety of industries and organizations
relying on high-resolution land cover data for analysis, assessment,
management, and modeling projects. Forest type-specific data supports a
variety of natural resource applications, which in turn benefit other user
groups.
