Haven't used this system.

Have used an alternative described here: http://hunter.pairsite.com/theodolite/ with good results for field data collection where precision and accuracy requirements aren't strict.

Most of these "quick collect"  technologies improve collection speed while sacrificing precision and accuracy.  How does a user maintain a stable Height instrument without a solid grounding on a level/plumb base using these types of technologies?  If a user is willing to invest effort in properly establishing and maintaining Height instrument, then then the device becomes less portable and looses some of its attractiveness I submit.

Much ground can be covered with a robotic total station.  Most of these can now be equipped to snap pictures too.  Of course these instruments are comparatively expensive.

All boils down to the projected use case for the data collected.
