Good Morning All,
It is with great pleasure we announce the addition of Todd Metzler to our MeGIS staff. He began his duties on Monday and is already proving to be a great asset in assisting with projects already in progress. He will be focusing his efforts on the MeGIS GIS architecture and assisting with plans for improvements to our web services and more efficient delivery of GIS data.

Please join me in welcoming Todd.

Todd Metzler
Todd Metzler, now with the Maine Office of Geographic Information Systems (MEGIS) possesses an accumulated 32 years experience in a number of geography disciplines including geospatial computing, remote sensing, human, transportation and environmental assessment.
A native of Pennsylvania, Todd graduated from High School in 1983 and immediately entered military service with the United States Navy. During his 24 years of naval service, Todd distinguished himself in variety of technical leadership roles in the field of airborne remote sensing. He is a veteran of operation(s) DESERT SHIELD, DESERT STORM, IRAQ FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM.
In 2007 Todd joined MITRE, a not for profit corporation operating Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC) for the United States Government. While with MITRE, Todd applied his knowledge of remote sensing and participated in the design, development and fielding of technologies promoting efficient sensor data collection, processing and dissemination of geospatial information within an enterprise level GIS architecture.
Todd earned his Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Keene State College.

With pleasure,
Joe
