If you haven't yet seen the front page of this week's Penobscot Times, be sure to check out the photo featuring "Riot Sound," Orono Middle School's show choir, fresh from their Division One State Championship! To see a video of their winning
performance, visit the OMS website and click on the link you will find there.

Mark your calendar for these upcoming Orono arts events:

Monday, April 6, Church of Universal Fellowship, Main Street.
The Orono Schools Coalition for the Arts will hold its regular meeting at 7:00pm in the Vestry on the lower level of the church. (Enter through the Juniper Street side.) Please join us as we plan remaining activities and events for this year and
elect officers for the year ahead.

Friday, April 10, Keith Anderson Community House, Bennoch Road.
Orono Arts Cafe's Third Annual Jazz and Poetry Jam. Performer sign-up 6:30pm, Show starts at 7:00. Bring your favorite poem, brush up on a jazz tune or two to perform (other genres of music and spoken word welcome, as well), and plan to join the
fun in this popular annual event. Last year a nighthawk flew in to take a look. What surprises are in store this time? Come and find out! Admission $3 for all; performers get a coupon for the OAC's famous root beer float! Admission and
refreshment sales support arts scholarships and programs for Orono schools.

Friday and Saturday, April 10-11, OMS/OHS cafe.
The Orono Middle School Drama Club presents "The Orphan Train" at 7:00pm. Donations gratefully accepted.
