I wanted to spread the word about this meeting. I am a short timer, but I
still care about the choices Orono makes for the future health of the town
and its residents, students and visitors.

More and better bike/pedestrian access for all!

Subject: Downtown Traffic Study Discussion Tonight
To:

MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2017 AT 6:00 P.M.

ORONO COUNCIL CHAMBER

There will be a presentation of the Draft Downtown Traffic Study tonight -
the study focuses on the RT2 corridor area from Westbrook to the bridge and
includes considerations for school traffic, UM traffic, and folks traveling
elsewhere. The study looks at all modes including pedestrians, bicycles,
public transit, and private motor vehicles.

I'm not sure if public comment will be taken at this time but the study in
itself is pretty interesting IMO. It will at least be more satisfying then
the final episode of Sherlock!

I probably won't be able to make it, I'm already asking my kids to stay
with friends so I can work this afternoon. I won't ask more from them.
Hopefully some of you can attend.

-Erik
