Rich Kimball has announced that his radio show, partnered with Angelo’s Pizza, will now be recognizing a High School Student of the Week – not tied to athletics, but focusing on young people who excel in the classroom, school activities, and in the community. This will honor the truly exceptional students who make a difference in their schools.

Rich Kimball hosts the “Downtown” radio show from 4-6p on 620 AM. In addition to its sports reporting, the show announces what is trending locally re. theater, drama, movies, and plays. Rich is a teacher at Brewer High School and founder/director of the Brewer Youth Theatre.

You can nominate a student by sending an email to: [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Be sure to include the name of the student, their school, year of graduation, and a one or two sentence summary of their work in and out of the classroom.

Those students named the Downtown/Angelo's High School Student of the Week will receive a certificate of recognition, a free large pizza, and be eligible for a larger prize at the end of the school year. Thanks to Angelo's for helping us honor Eastern and Central Maine's best!
